MEGS ETHERINTON introduces the “HARLEM HOT FEET with the HARRY STRUTTERS HOT RHYTHM ORCHESTRA” who will present an exciting, colourful, action-packed jazz dance show that celebrates the music, song and dance of the Cotton Club, the famous nightclub which flourished in New York’s Harlem in the 1920’s and 30’s.

MEGS ETHERINGTON   MEGS ETHERINGTON

Cornet, teapot, ballroom dancer, bad magician and ventriloquist

Megs, a lecturer in computer graphics at Guildford College, is our most recent recruit. He joined a mere 12 years ago as band Padre and spiritual advisor – we were having difficulties finding the bar. Previously with Harry Strutters and The Rio Grande Hot Tango Orchestra his great musical hero is the legendary Bix Beiderbecke. Megs has recently acquired a Conn cornet, as played by Bix, and if you have a couple of hours to spare, he will be delighted to explain its sophisticated tuning system.
